Shadow

In the Jungian sense, the Shadow is the unconscious part of one's psyche that contains repressed emotions, desires, and traits that are not consciously acknowledged, often due to personal or cultural conditioning. As such, the Shadow may influence one's behavior unconsciously, typically appearing in the form of projections onto others or onto the external world.

While it is commonly associated with negative traits, the Shadow also holds unexpressed strengths, creativity, and potential. Acceptance and integration of one's personal Shadow can lead to personal growth and greater self-awareness.
